About Us
Capers for Kids is a creative arts organization specializing in creative drama and visual art classes for children ages 3 to 14. Founded in 1978 by Sherry (Boo) Capers, we retain a staff of professional educators who hold degrees in their respective art areas.
For twenty-three years the Capers for Kids Creative Arts School set the standard for drama and art education in the Dallas, TX area.
We sincerely believe that the skills children acquire through drama and art will enable them to better enjoy and understand this human experience. We provide an environment conducive to an atmosphere of trust. When children feel safe and certain they will not be criticized or judged, they are free to create.

Outreach Programs
The Outreach programs offered by Capers for Kids continue to grow and serve over twenty- five pre-schools, private schools, and public schools in the Dallas metroplex. For more information on our Outreach Programs, click the "Locations" link to the left.

Materials & Training
In addition to the Outreach programs, we are very involved in the
development and marketing of teaching materials for drama, teacher training, corporate team building and after school advocacy. In 2001 the Drama Decks® were created and in 2002 the Drama Decks were awarded the
Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award for one of the best toys of the year. Teachers all over the world are using them. We created The Drama Store in order to provide a teacher resource for drama teaching tools. For information on drama teaching tools click on the Drama Store link.
